This rifle was manufactured in 1954 and has correct parts: 1953 dated "LMR" barrel, "IHC" bolt, rear sight, modified op-rod, trigger group, hammer, and cylinder lock screw. The metal retains 95-97% of the original parkerized finish with some silvering and gray fading at the muzzle, on some of the projections and edges, on the bearing surfaces of the bolt, and a single small spot of surface oxidation on the rear wall of the receiver. The walnut stock and handguards are in very good-fine shape with clear DOD Eagle cartouche, some scattered light handling marks and blemishes in the otherwise fine military oil finish, and a single with-the-grain crack at the end of the rear handguard where it meets the receiver. This is a great post-Korean War Garand, made by a very desirable manufacturer, and is in fine-near excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R; Price: $3,195.00 Curio/Relic: Yes |
