Description:
A custom 98 Mauser in a classic caliber with all the Dangerous Game touches by the renowned Clayton Nelson and so marked on the barrel: rifle has a fully-engraved straddle floorplate done in tight scroll (appears to be older but refinished), checkered teardrop bolt handle, Recknagel express rear on an island base, NECG banded front installed on a stepped muzzle, banded sling stud, and a Rigby cocking piece aperture. The trigger is custom and the safety is a 2 position swing type. The highly streaked and figured stock has an ebony tip and steel grip cap, 13 3/4" lop through a leather covered pad, the checkering finely cut and copious. Mint bore. Quite hefty for a 24" rifle, 8 3/4lb.
