Description:
Serial #3229, .36 Caliber and .38 RF, 6 1/2" octagon barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a very handsome revolver that has matching numbers on the frame and barrel, with the metal retaining 70-75% of the original bright blue finish overall, with silvering along some of the high edges, and the balance flaked to a smooth, mellow plum-brown patina. The revolver comes with two cylinders (both numbered "118" on the rear faces): one in percussion; the other a two-piece factory cartridge conversion cylinder. The silver-plated trigger guard has developed a nice blue-black tarnish, and the trigger itself retains much of the original bright fire blue. The walnut grips are in excellent shape with only a few very minor handling marks in the original varnish on either side. The action is crisp and functions flawlessly. This is a splendid single-action Remington, and rates excellent condition overall. Antique;
