.36, #1304, 7 1/2 inch barrel, blue finish, 1 piece walnut grips, 1864.
In 1864, about the time of the fire at Colt's manufacturing plant, Metropolitan Arms Company started in N.Y. Very early examples do not have any markings except serial numbers. Almost an exact duplicate of the Colt 1851 Navy.
Condition: excellent bore, 98% flat armory blue, smooth uncleaned brass with touches of silver plate remaining, no markings on frame, cylinder or barrel, excellent grips with 40% original varnish, excellent mechanically.
