Description:
30 inch heavy octagon barrel chambered in 38-50 caliber features original sights including a gold beeches front sight and a typical Marlin rear sight. Original wood is in good condition along with a rifle style buttplate. Has a double set trigger which functions alright. Bore is in very fine condition. The No. 5 Ballard is the only Marlin that has the cleaning rod underneath and this one includes that original cleaning rod. Forearm is not in as good of shape as the butt stock but still fair condition. Barrel has 50% blue turning brown. The receiver shows good traces of case color balance turning brown.
