Description:
30 inch octagon mid-weight barrel is about equivalent to a Winchester #3 barrel. Barrel shows most original finish and has four neatly plugged holes for scope mounts. Bore is bright and shiny with decent rifling showing just a few small ares of scattered light pitting. Rocky Mountain sporting front and rear sights. The Ballard No. 4 “Perfection” rifles were made with Norway Iron forged frames for High-Power cartridges. This one has a somewhat mottled gray pattern left over form the now faded color case hardening. Walnut stocks are clean and solid showing only light wear and handling marks. Features a rifle butt plate.
