We inspect the firearm and it's action to see if everything appears functional but they are sold without warranty. Unless the item is listed as being sold AS-IS, there is a 3 Day Non-Shooting Inspection Period which starts when the item arrives at your dealer. No shooting, no disassembly. Visual inspection only to confirm correct item and that it matches description in major ways. Minor differences in subjective matters like percent of condition, etc, and personal opinions like ergonomics, fit to your hand or shoulder, etc, do not justify returns. Here is a nice Whitney Arms Co Rolling Block chambered for 38-55 WCF. This riflew is marked 38 C.F.C. on the underside of the barrel but a 38-55 Winchester cratridge appears to fit. We have not tested it and the chamber should be confirmed before using. The wood was darked from heat and soot from being over the fireplace or something in the past. The bore looks good with strong pronounced rifling. There is a crack in the butt stock that has been amature repaired. This is an antique and can ship direct with a copy of your ID to prove age and residency. Sold AS-IS. Thanks for looking!
