Description:
Harrington & Richardson's Model 929 in .22 Long Rifle. This revolver was introduced in 1956 as the first H&R solid-frame revolver to use a swing-out cylinder. The cylinder is locked in place by the use of a spring-loaded ball detent and a latching ejector rod. The cylinder crane was held in place by a simple screw, allowing the cylinder to be removed from the frame very easily for cleaning. The barrel is 4 inches, and it has hardwood grips. The cylinder has a "safety rim" around its rear circumference to protect the shooter or bystanders in case of head separations of the rimfire cartridges. It has a transfer bar safety.
