Description:
General Specs: Beretta, 2008, 28 Gauge, 6lbs. 5oz., Screw-in Chokes, LOP 14 1/2″, DAH 2 3/8″, DAC 1 1/2″
Serial Number:  R36974S

The Beretta 687 is a well-known action that has been used by Beretta in their field guns and clay target guns for decades.  It is a very attractive action as it is shallow, and a very strong action that is up for the rigors of competitive clay target games and high-volume shooting like doves in Argentina.  There is a special place in the upland bird hunter’s world for the diminutive 28ga. and it is THE CHOICE for those hunting quail, woodcock, grouse, doves, and other game birds, especially over pointing dogs.  The Beretta 687 has a scaled baby frame designed specifically for their tiny 28 and .410 bored shotguns.  Most other makers have 20ga. frames with 28ga. barrels on the larger action.  This Silver Pigeon III was built in 2008 and is in very high original condition with 99% barrel blue and all the chromed coin-finished receiver and trigger guard.  The Silver Pigeon III is distinguished with upgraded wood and engraving showing game scenes on the right and left side of the action.  The photos will show you a gun with well figured European walnut with dark streaking and fiddleback figure throughout.  This is a gorgeous little gun!  The gun comes with its original blue plastic case, choke wrench, and 7 screw-in chokes to include SK, IC IC, M, M, IM, IM for all your field and target needs.  Weighing just 6lbs. 5oz. and balanced perfectly 1/8” ahead of the hinge pin, this is a dynamic gun ready for upland and clay target sports. We have priced this gun to sell and it is not easy to find these fine little Beretta baby-framed 28ga. guns with this nice of wood and near new condition.  See the specifications below.  Thanks for looking!
