Description:
These Nepalese made rifles are a good copy of the British original. This one has the Correct 36-1/2 inch barrel chambered in .577 Snider caliber with a very good shiny bore that has strong rifling. Barrel is a plum/brown with correct barleycorn front and ladder rear sights. P-53 (Pattern 1853) Enfield 3-band full musket stock. Brass buttplate, trigger guard and forend cap. Nepalese markings on some of the parts. The loose-grained teak-like wood is in fine condition. Mechanics function very well. It looks like someone applied a coat of varnish over the whole gun at one time. An interesting variation for your collection.
