Savage. Model 99-K Deluxe Engraved Takedown Lever Action Rifle. Cal. 300 Sav. 24" full threaded style takedown barrel with a very fine bright bore. manufactured 1939. Ramp mounted bead front sight, marbles folding leaf rear sight with a lyman combination tang sight. Action features scroll engraved sides with highlights on upper and lower receiver and breech areas. Front of receiver has "K" grade marking. 99% case color on lever with sliding safety on right side and brass rotary mag. Schnabel tipped forearm and hard rubber capped pistol grip stock of fine black walnut featuring hand checkering on forearm, wrist & ears of stock. Stock has factory installed sling eyes& engraved steel buttplate. The 99-K was introduced in 1926 and discontinued in 1940. Gun has 80% blue with fading in carry areas. Action is drilled and tapped for scope attachment on front & rear rings. Wood is very fine with some very light scratches. Forearm is numbered to the gun. Serial # 388058.
