Description:
NSN, .75 Caliber, 39" barrel with a good, pitted bore. This is a "TOWER" and "(Crown) / GR" marked, "India Pattern" musket that has an overall plum-brown patina with streaks of gray along the barrel, and light-moderate pitting at the breech. The action is crisp and the mainspring is firm, with some mild oxidation inside the pan. The walnut stock has numerous small handling marks and blemishes scattered about the old added oil finish, with some faint ink writing on the right side of the buttstock. The brass furniture has developed a mellow ochre patina over time, with minor areas of darker tarnish scattered about the metal. The correct metal ramrod closely matches the rest of the metal. This is a great looking "Brown Bess," in very good-near fine condition, that would make a great addition to any collection. Antique
