Description:
28 inch round barrel in 22 Short caliber with a bright shiny excellent bore. Blade front sight and peep mounted receiver sight. Barrel shows most original thinning blue. Receiver shows 80% original blue finish. All other metal parts also have a high percentage of original blue. Near excellent solid wood shows some nice curly figure in the grain. Correct steel buttplate. Mechanically excellent. Forearm wood has been shortened providing all the benefits of a musket but with lighter weight for easier handling. This gun dates to the World War I era and has the correct US and Flaming Bomb markings as well as the correct lightweight hammer. Should be a great shooter!
