Description:
Original Antique formerly flintlock smooth bore musket converted to percussion approximately 70 caliber.  This functioning lock is marked Blasien indicating  manufacture at the Blasien armory in Germany.  I believe it is their version of the 1777 French Charleville.  This barell is dated 1817.  Thousands of German muskets were imported during the civil war.  The musket barrel is 42 inches with a total length of 57 inches.  The stock has numerous dents dings and cracks.  The metal has turned brown with scattered pitting.  The stock has been shortened probably after the civil war to sell for hunting purposes by places such as Bannermans.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.  Shipping will be actuall cost by insured usps mail with tracking.
