Design and Features
The Bauer 25 is essentially a high-quality, American-made clone of the Baby Browning—a famous Belgian pocket pistol.
Unlike many similar small-caliber handguns of the era, the Bauer was constructed from stainless steel, giving it good corrosion resistance and a longer lifespan.
It is blowback operated, with a fixed barrel and a simple design meant for very close-range self-defense.
The magazine release is on the bottom of the grip (European-style heel release).
The slide must be manually removed for disassembly, involving a 180-degree rotation of the barrel—a unique quirk shared with the Baby Browning.
