Description:
Browning Hi-Power "Wa140" chambered in 9MM Luger. This is a single-action, semi-automatic pistol based on a design by John Browning. The Hi-Power name is based on the 13 round magazine capacity. This is a WWII version that was made between 1942-44 under Nazi German Occupation. The left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE / HERSTAL BELGIQUE" and "BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE". The left side of the slide and frame are marked with an Eagle holding a globe with swastika (test proof) and an "Eagle / WaA140" Waffenamt military acceptance stamp. The right side of the frame and slide are marked "93072a". The left front of the trigger guard and bottom of the chamber are marked "MR". The barrel length is 4 5/8 inches. The front sight is a rounded blade fixed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a U-notch dovetailed to the rear of the slide. The grips are two-piece checkered wood panels. The bore is bright with strong rifling. It includes 1 magazine. No box. 9mm Luger
