The wood stock has also been replaced with a sporterized version, lacking sling mounts, but has remained in excellent condition with a smooth polish and re-varnishing. The sporterized stock includes hollowed-out compartments for a trapdoor cleaning kit. Despite its restoration, the rifle is in beautiful condition with very little blemish or scratching to the stock, while the rifle is in perfect working order.
