Description:

This 1873 model Colt was made in 1885.  It comes with a letter from Colt, stating that it was shipped to Houston, Texas in August of that year to Comminge and Geisler.
The original Nickel finish is gone. However,  you can see a trace of it on the cylinder (pictured).  This is a great example of a Colt Peacemaker, that was definitely used! It has two large x’s under the handgrip, next to the serial number (pictured).
This Colt has a lot of character! Two crosses, etched into it! One, on the barrel after the Colt address, and one under the trigger guard. Also, at the end of the barrel the muzzle is marked with four marks,(pictured).
This gun was definitely carried in Texas, in 1885!
Houston, at that time, was a rough place!! This Colt is tight, hammer works properly.
