J.C. Higgins Model 50 ~~ .270 Winchester, Model 98 Mauser made in Belgium by Fabrique National for Sears Roebuck Co. This was your no frills 1950' mail order catalog rifle. With a 22" barrel. The bore looks great and patches come out clean when barrel swabbed.
The Walnut stock has a 13 1/2" LOP and the butt has an intact plastic J.C. Higgins buttplate. The stock finish scarred and scratches but solid without cracks, splits or chips. The metal bluing is good with some thinning and scratches. Marked "FN Action Made In Belgium". Your basic .270 Hunting rifle. $399+ 30 shipping
