Description:

Standard configuration Artillery Luger from 1917 with 8” barrel having a drift adjustable front sight and fine tune tangent rear sight graduated 1-8. DWM on forward toggle link. Full serial number on forward frame and left side of barrel extension with last two digits on all usual small parts to include both grips and matching numbered magazine. Strawed takedown lever, trigger, safety, ejector, and magazine release button. Checkered walnut grips and nickle bodied magazine with wooden plug marked with matching SN, an arguable letter suffix vs blemish, and a "+" reflecting its status as a spare magazine. Complete with a black leather hardshell artillery holster, lid with manufacturer markings and 1917 date, obverse surface scribed "MOODY" and altered for belt carry. Cleaning rod, likely a reproduction, present.

Condition:

VG+ with touch up cold blue having been applied to a significant part of the frame, sideplate, and rear part of the barrel around the SN. Touch up/aged straw on takedown lever and safety, the other strawed small parts appearing original. Original grips with oil staining, slightly blunted checkering on the right panel. Magazine in comparable condition to the pistol. Dulled bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. G/VG holster with pull up tab having lost its retainer, obverse surface having been marked and modified as previously detailed. Cleaning rod in similar condition. A nice looking and all matching Artillery Luger Pistol from 1917, with touch up as noted, complete with matching dated holster!
