.44 Double Action 1st model Revolver also known as New Model Navy or D.A. Frontier

.44 S&W Russian caliber, 6 shot fluted cylinder, 6\" barrel, top break, excellent original grips.
Serial number 5103 - According to the S&W forums, this revolver was manufactured 1881.
Nickle plated finish with medium wear and light rust in some spots.
Strong rifling with very bright clear bore.
Action works perfectly and locks up tight.
Comes with the original leather holster from 1881.
A common revolver of the American frontier. One like this was carried by Belle Star \"The Bandit Queen of Indian Territory\" and John Wesley Hardin Died on the floor of the Acme Saloon in El Paso with one of these in his hand. These are very good shooters in this caliber. Ammo is available in most good gun shops.
