Pistol was definitely issued and came from a WWI soldier's family. Pistol has a nice patina and appears to be original; nice bore, 2 tone lanyard magazine, original double diamond grips, etc. These "real" military 1911 firearms are getting more and more difficult to find and the prices keep escalating.
