Description:
This Miroku MK-38 Trap is an O/U shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. It's a near copy of the Browning Superposed B25, but with a removable forend. The left side of the upper barrel is marked "MIROKU FIREARMS MFG. CO., KOCHI JAPAN". The left side of the monoblock is marked 70139", and with choke markings "*" _FULL, "*-" _ IMP MOD. The bottom of the monoblock is marked with "I SP NP 2 3/4". The right side of the top barrel is marked "SPECIAL STEEL 12GA-2 3/4", LCL INC. Scottsdale AZ". The barrels are 32" with ejectors and chambered for 2 3/4" shells. The front sight is a white bead in a base at the front of the broadway rib with a white mid-bead. The inside of the forend iron is marked "70139" and the inside of the forend is stamped "XBE 350852". The top tang, under the lever, is marked with "70139MN". The bottom of the receiver is marked "B.C. MIROKU / MK-38 TRAP". The coin finished receiver, trigger guard, and top tang are done in tasteful foliate scroll engraving. The top tang has a manual safety / barrel selector. The stock and forend are a two piece checkered high grade walnut with a pistol grip, fluted straight comb, and a vented rubber "B.C. MIROKU" recoil pad. The stock oval has not been initialed. Stock measurements; "DC - 1 1/2", DH - 1 5/8", with about 1/4" cast for a right-hand person. Overall this gun remains in excellent condition with minimal wear. 12 Gauge
