Offered for your consideration is a genuine WWII era .45 ACP magazine for the Government Model 1911A1 pistol. The top lip of the base plate is marked R and the underside is marked C-R, indicating that the body was manufactured by the Risdon Manufacturing Company, then sent to Colt for the addition of the spring and follower, along with final finishing. This is the Type 5C magazine, as referenced in Joe Poyer's book, "The Model 1911 and Model 1911A1 Military and Commercial Pistols".
This magazine is correct for WWII era 1911A1 pistols made from April of 1942 yntil the end of the war. Overall a great wartime .45 auto magazine, ready to complement your 1911A1 service pistol! Any questions? Just ask!
