Description:
Origninal as found. This is a 1860 Henry rifle 2nd model stock and buttplate serial number 9238, circa 1865 . It is in excellent condition to be 160 years old, and is only in need of two minor repairs on the tang/receiver portions of the stock on both sides, but no wood is missing.The butt plate is numbered to the stock and has one original stock screw, but came with replacement screws. It has the original finish with excellent patina on the buttplate. The original sling swivel is present anduntouched. Feel free to ask questions, but this stock is how I found it and I am no expert, but recognized it when I saw it.
