Description:
Cased EJ Churchill Imperial XXV 20 bore sidelock ejector gun with 25" barrels. Choked improved cylinder and modified. 14 15/16" length of pull over a checkered butt.
Prince of Wales stock, double triggers on a square bar action, auto-safety, gold oval engraved with a flushing woodcock, drop points, gold inlaid "SAFE" ahead of the safety catch, gold inlaid crown on the underside and XXV on the rib, maker's name on both lockplates, splinter forend, and an Anson push button forend release. The gun is housed in a compact toe-under leather case with an oil bottle, snap caps, and cleaning rods. This between the wars, circa 1938, gun remains in proof with unaltered 2 1/2" chambers.
Embellished with the very recognizable Churchill's Imperial grade engraving. Case color hardened action and blued furniture. About 60% case colors remain. Well figured walnut stock. The gun has been completely refurbished recently, having been restocked, rejointed and barrels reblacked. Top lever right of center, on face, and ejectors in time.
