Description: A PAIR of the classic "Queen Anne" style pistols with turn-off Cannon Barrel's, Grotesque Mask Caps and integral breech and lock, with the frizzen spring folded between the cock and flash pan. Approximately .65 gauge with a 5 1/2 inch round barrel. Like most "Queen Anne" flintlock pistols, these was actually manufactured during the Georgian era, in this case around the mid-18th century by George Reed, circa 1740s. The "wb" maker's mark is attributed to William Brander. Another interesting note indicating they were part of the collection of Lord Ashburnham in London and sold as part of his estate in 1953.
