Offered here for sale is a particularly fine and customized configuration of the Remington Model 870 Magnum 12 Gauge pump-action shotgun, a firearm widely known for its rugged reliability and versatility since its introduction in the 1950s.
Serial number W404647 this is a Remington 870 Magnum pump-action 12 Gauge Magnum shotgun which chambers 3" Magnum shells. Introduced 1950 this model has a 20" fully rifled barrel which are rare on standard 870s and designed specifically for use with sabot slugs, offering enhanced accuracy over smoothbore barrels. Overall Length: 35" which is very compact for a shotgun with a 20" barrel—suggesting a shortened or youth-sized stock. This makes it maneuverable—great for brush hunting or deer in tight cover. Along with a Simmons 2x32 shotgun scope, fixed 2x magnification optimized for slug use - durable, shockproof design made to withstand shotgun recoil. 32mm objective for a bright image in the field. Deluxe checkering fine on grip and forend—suggesting a higher-grade walnut stock or possible custom work. Rifled barrels with a scope and deluxe wood on a compact 870.
