Serial number 130883. Made in 1902. 41 Colt caliber with a 6” barrel. This gun is in excellent original condition with 98%+ of the original blue and case colors. The grips are excellent as well. This is a very interesting gun as it comes with a factory letter that confirms the configuration and the shipping address which is to E. G. Shields / Insular Purchasing Agent in Manila, Philippines Islands. This is one of 600 guns that was shipped to the Philippines during the transition period of the administration from the US Army to Civilian authorities. These guns remained in service for several years. Only a few of these guns are known here in the USA. This gun comes with a letter from noted Colt Authority Don Wilkerson explaining these rare guns. The condition of this gun is astonishing considering it was shipped to the Philippine’s! (C19874)
