Description:
This is a vintage "Railway Mail Service" postal department holster, measures 4.5" wide x 6" high. The issue side arm at the time was the Colt Detective Special with the S&W M32-1 fitting also. H. Heiser made them but this very good example is unmarked by maker. The leather is fairly supple and has signs of long use, all hardware is intact but has some verdigris. These holsters are not seen often and most of the postal pistols were destroyed.;
