Very Rare Early Counterfeit Derringer Pistol Along with Newspaper. Very interesting set! This is an early counterfeit Derringer and the subject of an ad taken out in the Washington Globe by Henry Deringer offering a $100.00 reward (which was a huge amount of money at the time) for information on who was manufacturing these guns. The newspaper was printed on June 4th, 1836 and according to Deringer Authority Doug Eberhart, this is the only copy of the paper known. The gun is made and closely resembles guns of the time. Very rare set and a one of a kind! (AH4532)
