Description:
A very high quality custom rifle by R.G. Owen of Saquoit, NY. Extensive engraving by Rudolph Kornbrath. Maker's name stamped on top of receiver as well as on the front part of the magazine base plate hinge. I know of no other R.G. Owen with duplicate maker's name stampings. Serial # 11 so a very early gun by Owen. Fine bore. Smooth action. Lyman Alaskan scope. Very accurate for a gun right at 100 years old. Caliber 30-06 sighted at 100 yards. I judge the bluing to be overall 94% with almost no wear at muzzle. Beautiful color on the engraved pistol grip cap. Truly a rare gun by a world class maker. Selling at $8,995.00 and $100 shipping in hard case.
