Description:
SKS Type 56 rifle, Chinese manufacture, imported by PW Arms. Matching serial numbers, very good used condition.
This SKS, caliber 7.62 x39, semi-auto, was made at China's arsenal 26, indicated by a triangle with 26 inside on the left side of the receiver. This is followed by characters indicating Type 56 and the serial number 14033703, which dates to 1970. The import mark "PW ARMS REDMOND WA" appears on the right side of the receiver. The last digits of the serial number "33703" are shown on the rear of the receiver cover, bolt, magazine bottom, trigger guard bottom and left side of the stock.
The metal shows finish wear and scratches, no major dings. Bore is excellent, shiny with sharp riflings. The stock shows its age, with dings and gouges, no cracks or repairs. The gun has a spike bayonet, sling swivels and a reproduction sling. The metal buttplate has a trapdoor but no cleaning kit inside.
