Description:
.44 rimfire caliber, 20" round barrel with "KING'S " patent markings on the legend. Full magazine with carbine front band and sight. Lever action brass frame, walnut forend and straight grip buttstock ending with a crescent brass buttplate. The barrel and magazine tube showing an brown/gray patina with smooth surfaces and crisp barrel address. Nice mellow unpolished brass with strong edges and an even appearance. Fine wood overall with some minor handling marks and a ding on the flat near the buttplate. Original ramrod in the buttplate trap. Excellent bright bore and rifling. Mechanically sound. Very nice original 1866 carbine.
