Description:
Guns Listing ID: 519210

This engraved Deane, Adams, & Deane .442 caliber percussion revolver has a 6.25\" octagon barrel with DEANE ADAMS & DEAN MAKERS TO H.R.H. PRINCE ALBERT No. 30 KING WILLIAM STREET LONDON BRIDGE inscribed on the top flat. It has approx. 92% bright blue with only the butt cap turning blue/brown. The right side of the frame is marked ADAMS PATENT No. 10,523R. The barrel left oblique flat has two proof marks and each chamber of the 5-shot cylinder has a proof mark. The frame, butt cap, and triggerguard and tang have extensive skillfully executed tight scroll engraving. The cylinder has moderate engraving in the nipple area and a decorative band in the front. The finely checkered walnut grips are excellent. The action functions perfectly. Included in the case are the correct two cavity mold marked in an oval REGISTERED R. ADAMS with 28 NOV/1851 in the center, an excellent Dixon bag flask (with broken spring), a screwdriver, a nipple wrench, a Dixon & Son oiler, a No. 24 cap tin, four spare nipples, and a combination rammer, bullet puller and jag. The case compartments are intact with the expected age soiling and wear. It has a blank approx. 1.5\" round brass escutcheon on the lid. The case is sound with a couple of dovetail joints starting to move but is overall very presentable. The oak case has an intact Deane, Adams & Dean factory label on the inside of the lid. This beautiful engraved Adams revolver with the case accessories is fit for the finest collection. (AH5870)
