"Serial No. 842842, made late 1918, .30-06, 24" round barrel marked “U.S.M.C/11-43/S". Bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling visible. This Springfield M1903 rifle was made in 1918 & then subsequently went through a service life extension rebuild that included the installation of a November 1943 dated USMC marked Sedgley barrel. It is also equipped with a pistol-gripped “C" stock with no grasping grooves, a checkered trapdoor buttplate & a front sight cover. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
