High Original Condition Colt Commando Revolver, US Military Issue, WWII
Description:
A wonderful example of a 6-Shot Military Colt Commando revolver, cal .38 special, with blade front sight and grooved rear sight atop a 4" barrel. Top of barrel with usual 2 line Colt address and patent dates. Left side of barrel marked “COLT COMMANDO” and ".38 Special". Ordnance bomb acceptance on top of left frame that cuts through the parkerizing (barely). The revolver is otherwise unmarked excepting for the matching SN on the inner frame and crane. Fitted with usual brown plastic Colt logo grips surmounting a checkered bordered field.
Condition:
EXC original condition with sharp edge wear at muzzle and edges of cylinder as one would expect from a holstered revolver that has seen relatively little use. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A high and entirely original condition Colt Commando revolver from WWII.
