Description:
E Dumoulin of Herstal .375 H&H Magnum Standard, Non-Flanged Scoped double rifle. Barrels are marked "Mod Pionier" The action is an original coin finish with gamescene engraving by J Vielvoye on three panels, Lion on the left, Greater Kudu on the bottom and Cape Buffalo on the right with the balance being a mix of open and tight scroll, this follows to the balls of the fences, the furniture and the trap grip cap. The action is in as new condition with disc set strikers, articulated front trigger, Greener crossbolt, ejectors are strong and in time, the standing breech shows very little sign of the rifle having been fired. The barrels are 65cm or 25 1/2" with a quarter rib and bases original to the rifle, one standing and one folded rear sight, wide blade front sight, the scope is a Swarovski Habicht 1,5-6X42 with clear optics, the QD functions well and makes the scope quick and easy to remove, the bores are perfect, .375 H.H. Magnum original proof 3700 Bar, this rifle is intended to shoot with the 300 grain bullet, though I will also shoot it with 270 grain and report to the interested buyer how it behaves. The stocks are in as new condition with well contrasting straight grained wood. chequering and finish are both in new condition, the pistol grip is open and the beavertail fore end is slim and looks nice on the rifle. Length of pull is 14 1/4", Drop at Comb is 1 3/4" and at heel 2 1/2". the drop works well with both the scope and the open sights. Weight is 11pounds 10oz with the scope. This is a Lifetime rifle that can be used for much more than African game animals!
