An Early Civil War Model 1842 Francotte Belgium Liege Large Percussion Single Shot Pistol In Excellent Untouched Condition. All original and complete. The pistol has excellent metal, markings, and edges throughout. It is clearly marked on both the lock and barrel "A FRANCOTTE/A LIEGE". The barrel is also proofed "LEG, & M" in circles. All of the metal is in the bright as it was when new. The pistol has excellent brass fittings which includ the large barrel band and back plate, the trigger guard, and the heavy butt end. The original wood is fine plus throughout and is marked on the backside, "vaud/439". It has a tight as new action and perfect bore inside the barrel. I do not believe that this pistol was ever fired. This Is A Very High Condition Example Of An Early Civil War Model 1842 Francotte Belgium Liege Large Percussion Single Shot Pistol. This Early percussion Civil War Percussion Pistol Would Be Hard To Beat In This Condition!
