The Remington 1911 R1 Enhanced is a single-action semi-automatic handgun aggressively modeled after the classic M1911 and described by the company as a dominant force in competition. Built on a steel frame with a match-grade stainless steel barrel and bushing this full-size pistol has a skeletonized match trigger made of anodized aluminum and a checkered laminate wood grip. Other features of the 1911 Enhanced R1 include a beavertail grip safety enhanced hammer and robust fiber-optic front sight. It is available in 45 ACP and 9mm which features a flush-fit magazine.
