The CZ 557 is redesigned from the ground up despite sharing a family with the 550 series and utilizes the company‚‚s original push-feed bolt with dual opposed locking lugs, a plunger type ejector and short extractor compared to the former series‚‚ Mauser-style action. The receiver is CNC machined from billet steel and includes integrated dovetails mount for easy and rock-solid scope mounting. Like with the popular 550 series, the CZ 557 also comes with cold hammer forged barrels that have been factory lapped to remove imperfections commonly associated with increased fouling and wear.
The 85th Anniversary edition celebrates CZ‚‚s long-standing legacy of commitment to high quality rifles since the 1960s. This model is chambered in .30-06 Springfield and features a lux Turkish Walnut stock with a laser-engraved anniversary logo on the bottom of the pistol grip. The bolt, bolt handle knob, trigger, magazine follower and magazine floorplate come with an exclusive gold PVD finish. The trigger is fully adjustable and the action comes with a two-position safety.
