Highly desirable Model 70 FWT in 270 caliber which has been expertly restocked.
S/N 442325 with matching scribed bolt made in 1959.
All barrelled action components are original featuring a 22" slim profile barrel with excellent bore, and the original aluminum bottom metal.
97% Blue and 97% wood finish with only minor handling marks and /or wear.
The wood is a graceful and beautifully grained piece of what appears to be Circassion walnut. It has a shadow line cheek piece for RH shooter, Neidner style contoured steel buttplate, steel pistol grip cap, ebony forend tip, and quick release swivel studs. The workmanship is excellent in all regards and particularly the very well executed checkering.
This is a very sharp, custom lightweight rifle that shoulders and handles beautifully, and is chambered in one of the all time great calibers!
