Description:
This is an outstanding Manton medium bore flintlock rifle made by manton in the early 1800's. It is in fine condition with very strong rifling that has a very small amount of oxidation. The lock has a lot of the original case colars and the barrel shows strong original brown. Use the ZOOM feature to make you own evaluation. The loads for these guns ran from 6 to 8 drams of black powder. It weighs 9 pounds and has a 31 inch Damascus barrel. The case is also in excellent condition and contains a cleaning rod and assessors, powder flask, patch dispenser, oil can and the original key. The lock has the hammer safety. An addition to any fine collection that is fully capable of being returned to the field.
