We offer free Shipping for orders over $500. Description: NSN, .54 Caliber, 8" barrel with a fair-good, lightly pitted bore. This is a nice looking pistol that has an overall mottled gray and plum-brown patina on the barrel and lock, as well as some plum-brown pitting on and around the touchhole at the breech. The pitting carries over onto the frizzen and pan, with some additional surface oxidation present on the frizzen spring and flint jaws. The top of the breech has a clear "LONDON" mark, while the lockplate if marked "(J)No. JONES / &Co." The pin-fastened walnut stock has handling marks and minor blemishes scattered about the light brown colored added oil finish, with cleaned brass fittings and a period wooden ramrod. John Jones & Co. was actually a Birmingham gunmaking firm and operated from 1814 & 1835. This is a nice looking pistol, and is in good condition overall. Antique; Price: $895.00 Antique: Yes |
