WINCHESTER M94 FLAT BAND .30 WCF Lever Action CARBINE C&R WORLD WAR I Manufactured Classic Repeater Here we present a C&R Winchester Model 94 Flat Band Lever Action Configured Carbine, made circa 1915 in New Haven, Connecticut. The credit for the design of such a prolific firearm again lies with John Moses Browning, who lent his extensive design talents to a large number of weapon types throughout his career. The Model 1894 was the first Winchester rifle made for use with the new technology of smokeless powder and was developed as a hunting rifle. Over 7.5 million were produced from 1894 until 2006. While various cartridges were supported throughout the run of the gun, the .30-30 Winchester became its staple. In practical use, the Model 1894 became a favorite for general shooters and hunters alike. To this day, it remains a deer hunting favorite, and, in all likelihood, more deer have been taken with the 1894 than any other. As mentioned above, the receiver was manufactured 1915, but has had a replacement barrel/magazine tube with a flat band and carbine forearm configuration. This scarce “Flatband” name arises from the shape of the barrel band near the front sight. This flat shaped band was only used for a year or two circa 1947-48. The overall condition is very good. Much original finish has been preserved. Strong, crisp action. The bore is bright and nicely rifled. Legible markings. Fine stock. The magazine tube is a replacement. The sling swivels are a later addition. The left receiver is drilled and tape with filler screws. Own the original! This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 20 inches. Caliber: .30 Winchester Center Fire (.30-30) Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R Licensee.
