This example represents arguably the most prolific and recognizable version of the Mosin–Nagant. Produced from 1930 to 1945, it was the standard issue rifle for Soviet infantry during that period. Many Dragoon rifles, originally designed around the 1891 pattern, were also converted to the M1891/30 configuration, making this design even more widespread. This particular rifle is a 1930 production variant of the original Model 1891. Known in the West as the Mosin–Nagant and in Russia as Mosin’s rifle, it’s a five-shot bolt-action with an internal magazine, developed between 1882 and 1891. This particular specimen is dated 1943 and bears a host of inspection marks, each telling a little story about its journey through wartime service. Chambered in 7.62x54R with a five-round magazine, it’s a classic example of a firearm that’s both historically significant and enduring. The overall condition is good. This example is arsenal refinished. Excellent action. The bore is bright and nicely rifled. Markings are sharp. The stock is solid and remains in fine condition. Good bayonet. “Inter Ordnance” import marked barrel. Own the original! This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 29 inches. Caliber: 7.62x54mmR Overall condition as seen in photos.
