Description:
Not import marked. Original WWII Russian SVT40 sniper rifle, made at Izhesk in 1941 and so marked. The gun has the Finnish SA mark on the left side of the barrel. Not matching numbers, as is common on the Finnish marked guns. Bore has strong rifling. Fine mechanical function. Wood has some dings and handling marks. Receiver has the proper notch at the top in the rear for the scope mount pin. Orignal scope mount is numbered at the rear, as it should be. Mount has some light pitting. Scope is dated 1943 and marked M-A-30323, also has a square wtih an X in it never to the letter P. 436 is marked in between the adjustment knobs. Fine optics. The gun itself retains a pleasing patina with some finish here and there. Markings are all clear. Original Russian magazine is not SA marked. Stock has original inspectors marks but is worn from Russian use as well as subsequent Finnish use in the Continuation War. SUPER hard gun to find. Serial number is EN5368

Firearms are not test fired, however we do test the action to see if it functions properly for a dry fire. We do not put any ammo in it or disassemble to check internal parts. We will sometimes take off barrels or stocks in an attempt to prevent damage in shipping. We only sell used guns, and have no way to know how many rounds have been through them. WE DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY. ALL FIREARMS, REGARDLESS OF AGE OR FEDERAL ANTIQUE STATUS have to be shipped to a dealer for transfer within NY. Other states are fine, depending on your state laws. We will not ship to a New York, NJ, or CA C&R holder, a standard FFL is required. There are some states in which a C&R handgun MUST be shipped to a dealer, such as MD. Please know your local laws.
