Payment Types Accepted: Money order, cashiers check, personal check Description: Very nice piece of World War II history here. Savage supplied about 14,500 shotguns to the military during the war and 4 times as many were provided by Remington with their Model 11. Many (most?) of these 12 ga savage 720s came with a shorter riot barrel or had a Cutts Compensator for aerial training. Some like this one have a 26” Improved Cylinder barrel so you can go hunt some birds with it. Receiver has the USGI Military stamping of a “P” “US” and the flaming bomb of the Ordinance Department. Barrel also has the flaming bomb and marked with a choke designation if “****” which represented Improved Cylinder on these guns. The Browning a5 / auto-5 / Automatic 5 didn't make the war so if you want a semi auto WWII shotgun it's either the Savage 720 or the Remington Model 11. Price: $850.00 Shotgun Gauge: 12 Gauge |
