This rifle is a consignment sale and it‚‚s a fantastic example of a well-maintained Remington Model 700. Chambered in .30-06, this bolt action rifle is fed from a four round internal magazine. A 3-9x Weaver scope is shown in the photos and included in the sale.
Our rifle is serial number A6779457. The \"PV\" code on the barrel would indicate likely manufacture in 1979, although you wouldnn‚‚t guess that based on the great condition of the rifle. The rifle has a 22 inch barrel. The rear sight has been removed in favor of the scope. The front sight is a fixed ramp. A manual safety is on the right side of the receiver, just behind the bolt.
The checkered Monte Carlo stock has a beautiful finish. It shows normal signs of light use but is in Excellent condition. The black buttpad is in Excellent condition as well. Likewise, the metal finish is best described as Excellent.
The action is smooth and the trigger has a nice, crisp break. The bore is good, the barrel is very bright and the rifling is good.
The scope glass is clear and the magnification control works as expected.
Overall, this is a very nice example of a Remington 700. The versatile 30-06 cartridge is suitable for a wide variety of hunting uses. This rifle has a lot of life in it looks as great as it performs.
