Description:
This is a great, all original example of an early WWII Ithaca 1911A1 US military pistol, made in 1943 and chambered in .45 ACP. Only about 30000 of the Ithaca 1911 pistols had a dulite finish with the remainder being parkerised. This is a textbook example with a typical cross hatch filing pattern on the slide, all the correct early proofs and flaming bomb proofs inside the slide and the frame. The gun retains over 95% of its original finish showing minimal holster wear. Grips are original and perfect. The barrel is original HS marked. Very nice bore with pronounced rifling.
